Right. Some people value overall more then others. I do not mind paying for whom I want but It really comes down to value. I may value something different then they do. Some people never trade, some people are in a constant "rebuild" and some are always in a win now. Me I rarely keep young players or prospects and prefer ml ready guys as I like to win all the time.

Sometimes I am just in a place where I don't want to trade anybody and somebody would have to blow me away with an offer to get me off of that mindset. I just had a guy hit me up for one of my inexpensive relievers and I told him exactly what I wanted for him - a middle infield or pitching prospect of the same quality in return. When he came back with an offer for a 29 year old overpaid (in my opinion) pitcher, I probably should have ignored him, but I respectfully declined.

As annoying as dealing with the lack of wherewithal is, sometimes, especially when you just joined a world, you need to take it on the chin and deal with it. It is the only way to quickly get rid of contracts you don't want and obtain contracts you do want.
