I agree that we're saying similar things. And i'm one of those D2 championship caliber coaches. And I recruit the same guys that low D1 coaches target as well.

I just feel like too many D2 coaches think that their recruiting effort means more (for some reason) when it's in RS2 and you can see the words "very high". It's no easier, or harder, to maintain a lead on a recruit in RS2 than it is RS1.

I would say prestige plays a lot into it. I had an advantage at Depaul versus Maine for a 4 * recruit. had very high and they had high (70/30 advantage to me) and the recruit signed with Maine (C- prestige to my D+). They had a distance advantage too but I would be able to throw more HV at him (in WY).

If you know for a fact it was 70/30 that just sounds like bad luck, not prestige diff
