Not sure if it's true, but I read somewhere that "arm" is part of the fielders "field" rating. So the better his fielding rating, the better his chances of throwing someone out.

Again, not sure of the validity of that.

You just rarely see more than 4-5 assists in a season for any outfielder. So I find that a missing piece of the sim. Even if they entirely based it on actual OF assists (which, we know, is a poor stat since players often don't run on guys with good arms, and guys with bad arms can get more assists because of more opportunities), at least it would be factored into the game. Just to take it back to the original point that started this, we lose one of the main values Clemente brought to a game this way and it shows in how little he's used compared with some other superstar players.

something that occurred to me...no one wants players with high strikeouts but strikeout guys get more pitches...usually at least 4..can they in sim cause a high pitch count.

Prime Vlad Guerrero would be another one that comes to mind, who had a cannon for an arm in his Montreal days and guys were afraid to run on him.
How about pitchers that were great at holding runners and had excellent pick off moves? I don't think the sim has anything regarding that either? I could be wrong.
