Phonemes come together to mean different things in different languages and cultures, and sometimes those differences can make folks laugh. Kind of different than the kind of ethnic joke that degrades, which is clearly punching down, and unfunny.

For example, I like the story behind what “maga” means in Nigerian pidgin english.

So, not to hijack this thread-- but there's another Long Wang in Smith. Lesser player-- he's the starting SG for a #1 seed in the D2 NT-- but same name, same high school.

Is name/school re-use common, and did I just notice it now because of the name thread?

Long Wang left UCLA after only 1 year to be the #3 pick in the draft...highest one and done I think I’ve ever seen.

Young Wang is actually loyal at this point in his career (hasn’t been taught any better yet) and has come back to Syracuse in pursuit of a title in his sophomore year.

now that I have an actual PC and it's easier to play this game than on my tablet, I can easily access this game. So I'm back and hopefully will be for a while.... just will primarily use my tdiddy3 account.
