I haven't noticed an uptick necessarily, but probably saw my most serious injury. CF prospect lost 17 in range. I’ve got 20/20, and his health rating isn’t bad. Wasn’t a super prospect, but definitely an ML future

To add Insult to literal injury all he gains back at seasons end is 1 point lol. I’m sure he’ll gain some back over the offseason, but man.

My zero medical budget finally caught up to me. Perennial gold glove second baseman no more: https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=8879430

Question to those who would know... did my 0 Medical make his rating losses and time on the DL worse, or will it only affect his lack of recovery? I'm not expecting to get any points back.

Holy chit. This does blow big time. Id be ****** and quit. 20/20 they should reach pre injury form at least in my opinion.

No idea. I always run 20/20. It seems to me they made changes.

I can at least say I’ve seen one part of this before: if you’ve got a player with great Range there are injuries in the game which strip Range way down. Turns them into different players.

What is the # of days between the end of the WS and regular season opening day In a HBD world? I have a relief pitcher who has 197 days remaining on his injury and was wondering if he’d be fully healthy by opening day next season ?

110, give or take.

Up to eight 60 DL injuries after only 70 games. Two pretty solid prospects and my best ML hitter.

But then my other team has only three after +110 games.

Don't really buy into the increased injury frequency, especially browsing the league-wide DL list but it's def frustrating when you're the one getting hammered on the impact players.

Not saying this to be a dick, but I have a hard time believing there are conclusively "more injuries this season"... when every two and a half weeks I see someone post in these forums "is it just me or are there more injuries this season?"

I have no idea if its true but it is killing my love for the game as we speak.

Last season, my first round pick - 10th overall - went down for elbow surgery in his final start of the season. 77 Health rating. Ticked me off for about a day, but then I realized it's only the second time it's happened in 47 seasons.

I one World, over the course of about 170 games between two seasons, I had my first round pick from season 41 go down with a major injury, my first round pick from season 42 go down with a major injury and my 20M+ Intl signing from season 42 go down with a major injury. They all went down in either their first or second year and this is significant because those first two seasons are the most crucial from a development perspective.

injuries suck overall, but they suck even more when they happen to prospects. Especially the top three prospects in your entire system that were all early in the early stages of development.

Also, all this happened when I am an owner that manually manages his minors and i make sure to have my true prospect pitchers in a low inning relief role and my true prospect hitters only play about 3-5 innings per game. So the simmy really F'd me over. Even if all of these guys had a health rating of under 50, what are the chances that ALL THREE of them have major injuries during their first or second year as a pro? i would say the chances are slim to none. However, despite one player having a 58 health, another having 81 health and the third player having a 31 health rating, they all got hit with development-affecting injuries.
As stated in my post above, it is quite infuriating when you have multiple injuries in a short period of time. It makes you want to quit the World because you put so much work into building your team and when injuries hit, especially prospect injuries in my opinion, it blows hard. I just had two more guys go down in the above referenced World -- 1. my best mlb pitcher (23 yr old) and one of my Type B prospect guys that was a steal in the draft. Both went down with 200+ day injuries. I have already set myself up for failure by telling myself that if I have one more impact player that goes down this season or next, i am quitting the World, but I doubt I will quit the World. I have put too much time into it. However, I am totally with the frustrating emotion.

I hear that OOTP's injuries are more frequent on the default settings. I have never played for that reason. And, the fact that I don't think I have time learn another game like this.
