Honestly, a simple psychological exam can tell you political leanings. There’s a consistency between people on the left being high trait openness (creativity) and more conservative people are usually more orderly and conscientious.

Gotta agree that many Democratic/Liberal thinkings are "creative". Of course, "creative" can mean bad just as easily as good.

It is interesting to ponder what role resentment (or the French term resentiment (sp?) ) plays in determining one's political leanings. Anectdotelly, I would say of the people I know the further left you go the less conventionally attractive they get. As most of my friends are left to some degree, this isn't too pronounced however, but the most rabid activists among them do seem to conform to this trend. Celebrity culture might seem to refute this though, so I'm not sure it's an observation worth too much in the end.
