Is there more to HD than I'm seeing? Topic

So just an update on how I'm feeling about HD. I've recruited a few more of my own players, and I've picked up a few more tips from reading the forum threads. Learning more about player distribution, and how to set the +/- in my zone defense. So I'm liking this game a lot more now. Now I'm checking my HD scores when I wake up in the morning before I check my GD and HBD scores.
the really exciting part of the game IMO is figuring out how to balance talent and team building

i've played gd..what i don't like about it is the lack of an injury (realistic) factor..not losing a starting player for significant time s\b part of the game

Balancing talent and team building are the absolute best part of this game, no doubt about it. Do I go after a super-talented SF with a ton of recruiting competition? Or do I pursue that local pure PG because my current PG is a junior and I don’t have anyone else with 90+ bh/p?

This is the part that separates the top coaches (like tkimble) and middle of the road coaches (like myself). For me, the above example goes:

Do I go after a super-talented SF with a ton of recruiting competition? Or do I pursue that local pure PG because my current PG is a junior and I don’t have anyone else with 90+ bh/p?.... Wait, my PG is a senior already? Since when? Crap, now I need to go for the PG and offer him a start despite his ~50 bh/p... OR I could play a backup sg at pg, a backup sf at sg, then go for the heavily contested SF. Alright, it's settled. I'm going for an international big.

I've had a decent amount of success in this game by recruiting talented players (and generally having enough guys at the 1-3 and 4-5 to field a roster) and getting lucky when they mesh together well (or when I get lucky otherwise). But I'm not sure if that is the best way to do it. ;)

We reeled him in boys! Good stuff. Now wait till you can start really competing and grasp what your adjustments are actually doing. It gets better
