Yeah. I lucked out with one IFA this season with only 12 mil scouting. Saw a SP who looked like a potential keeper, but of course I didn't trust the projections. My - "experience"? - gave me a feeling he might be alright, so I threw a blind bid. It was still early in the season so I figured the owners holding out for a superstud wouldn't bid yet, unless the guy was can't miss.
A few escalating bids made me realize someone else thought the player was for real too. UNLESS someone was playing me for a sucker and starting a bidding war on a turd. I had nothing else to spend the money on, so I picked my limit and bid it. Whoever else was bidding against me didn't match, and it turns out the player should be alright.

Cost me 14 million cash, but to actually come up with a 14 million player who's worth it, with only 12 mil scouting, is a win to me.
