I was deciding between 97-99 and 99-01. The offense on 99-01 is scary good, but the starting pitching scared me.

The 97-99 offense nearly tempted me. I went back and forth several times as I kept looking at four rosters I built and stayed up way later than I wanted to determined to pick before bed. These decisions can make you a tiny bit crazy.

This league has a plethora of stud starting pitchers with Maddux, Pedro, Kershaw, Arrieta, Greinke, DeGrom, Verlander, K.Brown, RJohnson. Should be a fun league... Sure glad thejuice6 didn't go with the "allow clones" rule. Imagine having to face 94-95 Maddux or 99-00 Pedro back to back.

Also, the number of viable teams in this league is one of the reasons I didn't select this league with one of my top 3 picks. I bet this league has the least correlation between record and draft pick. (Or so I hope, since I have some lower picks in this league)

Seems pretty likely that every time you're looking at the pitching for your next series, you're gonna see at least one Maddux, Pedro or Kershaw in there.

I gotta tell you, I gave it some serious thought. Although I'm glad I didn't go that route, it sure would have been interesting seeing how some of these teams would have fared - like the ones you mentioned as well as the "Ruth, Gehrig and Foxx" teams of the twenties and early thirties. I was just putting together my 1947-1949 squad for League 2 and I saw three great seasons of Ted Williams available to me. Could've been fun...

I assume we should reserve one of the final ALE spots for my 3rd team? Definitely don't want two teams in the NLW.

2009-2011 - I'll go ahead and put my team in the N.L. West so there won't be an issue. When it gets to you, you should still have the A.L. East and possibly the N.L. East as options.
