To which part?
I ask because if you're talking about all the big 6 filling up, it was Crum that just did. Seton Hall is the only sim.
If you're talking about not having firings, well cool. That's what we're debating
I’ve already said what I’m going to say on it, in multiple threads. It’s premature to talk about firings, this is the first season for these worlds to adjust, of course there’s going to be guys rushing to the top, as I’ve suggested for a long time. Give the environment a chance to adjust. I’m laughing at the idea that those jobs are going to be “permanent”. Many of them will not be. And many others who get shifted to the bottom will get tired of it and move on. There is *very likely* to be movement as guys realize how little upward mobility there is in a full power conference, compared to a 1/2 to 3/4 full mid major conference (to say nothing of all the abdicated credits at D2 and D3). Making structural changes at this point before we see how everyone reacts would be incredibly foolish. Firings can be on the table, in the long term, if after some good solid period of evaluation, WIS decides it’s in the games best interest.
But I really just have to laugh at the thought of all the folks, many of the same folks who have spent the last 4 years going on about the population of the worlds, now complaining about the idea of high D1 filling up again. This is a good thing for the game. The folks who struggle will be paying WIS a lot of money to struggle. And 3.0 already fixed the main problem of the previous version’s logjam, which was that conference cash and rollovers made it nearly impossible to build perennial contenders from small and mid-major schools. You can compete from anywhere now, so even if you have to wait for a “power conference” job to open up, which was how it was before anyway, at least now you can build a nationally competitive team while you’re doing it.
Or you can stay at D2 and rack up the credits. Lots of folks will choose to do that after a cup of coffee in the show, I suspect.
