CS is in denial that previously juco recruited playersdid not have their high school GPA's displayed.

Because I have nothing linked to prove that ... well they can't get past that.

Seems unlikely, but maybe someone has a past visual of a juco recruited recruited player with no HS GPA displayed.
there are current jucos with no HS GPA displayed, so it seems to me nobody looked very hard. i actually am looking at a juco right now that doesn't even have *any* gpa displayed, either. this is a guy who existed last year, apparently, because i definitely didn't scout him this year (he's in MA over 1000 miles away). i guess i have him scouted from last year? i didn't know that was a thing, but whatever -

i think only freshly generated jucos have HS GPA displayed, not the ones who have been around since freshman. here's a dude with a GPA displayed but no HS

for what its worth, i seem to remember seeing HS GPA in parenthesis for some players. very fuzzy memory, i'm not sure what it is i am remembering, but i thought they did something at some point to let us see the HS GPA for players we couldn't see previously.

maybe the difference in the above is one was ineligible as a freshman and the other just was not recruited? not sure.

i'm also looking at a high end 2 year juco, who was almost definitely freshly generated, and he doesn't show HS GPA either. so there goes that theory.

I assume that in all worlds that the Juco's/transfers are showing high school GPA's are in their first season. I imagine they will disappear in their 2nd season just like they disappear when Freshman become sophomores.

CS has taken the position that Jucos/transfers have ALWAYS had their high school GPA's displayed for their first season. I am adamant they were not.

And it is totally illogical that Juco/transfer recruits do not have their high school GPA's displayed during recruiting, but when signed and the season starts the High School GPA's magically appear.

How is this a problem?

The Juco's and tranfers in their first season appear to be needing SH minutes based on their HS GPA's as if they were Freshman ... instead of their college GPA's when they are Juniors (or whatever class).

So you could be recruiting a junior Juco with a 2,5 GPA and then when the season starts you discover his high school GPA was 2.1. BIG difference in SH minutes that will be needed, but you had no idea when recruiting him.

all the players i posted are during recruiting... are you saying the guys you are seeing it on, are all signed? that would explain why i couldn't find anyone. the juco i have already on my team is also showing his hs gpa. i don't think that is new but i am not confident in that...

As probably one of the top 5 Juco recruiters in WIS (I ALWAYS have jocos on my rosters), I am confident that HS GPA's were not previously displayed for juco's in their first season.

Here is the effect.

My player
https://www.whatifsports.com/hd/PlayerProfile/Ratings.aspx?tid=0&pid=4842572
His college GPA was 2.4. That was all that was known when recruiting him.
For a sophomore with a 2,4 GPA I would usually allot 5 or 6 minutes SH. And never have had any grade issues.
His high school GPA was 2.16 (only discovered when the season began)
For a sophomore with 2.16 GPA I would need around 12 SH minutes.
I have had to keep this player around 12 minutes to keep him eligible.
College sophomore at 2.4 should never need 12 minutes to stay eligible.
The high school GPA is overriding the college GPA.
And it looks to me like the displayed HS GPA are being treated like Freshman for thei SH minutes,

If I had known his HS GPA (2.16) and the SH minutes effect I would not have recruited him!!

All this appears to be moot, because CS refuses to discuss the issue ... or the logic of it.

Thanks gillispie and Shoe for trying to get a grip on this.

Likely 99% of users would never notice this and it will hardly ever effect them.

To me it just seems incredibly logical if high school GPA is important then at the very least it should be displayed when you are recruiting jucos/transfers..

Yeah I certainly see the issue here.
