Yeah, baseball has gone to crap. Homeruns or bust. Shorten up with 2 strikes? The F you say!

It's the only way to get people to look away from their cell phones., plus the games go faster. It only vaguely resembles the game of the past.

How about Adam Wainwright? He's approaching 200 wins and 2000 K's, with a .632 winning percentage.

Like it or not, but 200 wins and 2000 K's is going to be the new 300/3000 HOF benchmarks for the foreseeable future.

200 wins, agree it’s the benchmark, although it should be more like 250 instead of 200.

Not sure 2k Ks is the new 3000 Ks. Not with the K rates we’re seeing these days. I’d say 3000 Ks is new 2500 Ks.

Here's one I just learned today:

Name the double-play duo (teammate middle infielders) who hit the most combined HR in a season.

Correct! 74 total HR: 45 for Semien (a new record for 2B, breaking Davey Johnson's 43), 29 for Bichette.

They were also the first DP duo since 1950 to knock in 100 RBI each (Bobby Doerr and Vern Stephens did it back then for the Red Sox).

Hey Stengel;

fellow jays fan here, just posted some thoughts on potential 2021 jays and their salaries in WIS.... there might be value with some (meyza/springer/espinal) and others might be outrageously priced (vlad/ray/manoah/semien/Bo)

As soon as the 2021 players come out I'll be using Vlad in an OL, in Coors. Don't care how much he costs!
