I like the idea, but not as a draft. I would rather see it as a regular pick your player league. Too many draft leagues can be a real time suck.

That's an idea, but I'm afraid the same top 6M+ players would be on like 15 teams. How about a 4 round draft with 2 players taken in the 4th round. Then everybody can pick up 7 non exclusive players to fill out their teams. That's what we will go with so we can get this thing moving.

Just a 4 round ABAB draft with 2 picks in round 4, and then everybody fills in their other 7 non exclusive players. Only players who don't have any season with a salary at 7M or more. No salary cap, although every player will be under 7M.

I can't believe that more people don't want to try this. I think it's a lot more interesting than just playing again and again with the same 15-20 superstars that everybody always wants. This will be a cool challenge, and we'll get very different all star rosters and probably an MVP who has never won the award in any of these leagues before.

I'm thinking either a 4 round draft ABAB with 2 players taken in round 4, or a 6 round draft with ABABAB and 2 players taken in round 6. No need to go ABBA because there won't be any superstars in this league. The rest of the bench will be up to each owner to fill out with anybody who wasn't drafted.

Tons of good sub-$7 mil players in the '22-'23 season. SGA, D Mitchell, Claxton, Fox, A Davis, Haliburton, etc...

We're up to 8 owners now, still need a lot more. I don't know, maybe we can get to 12 owners and take 2 teams apiece.

Not one post in almost 5 months. We had just 8 owners. I'd still like to do this. Have they made smaller leagues available yet, or do we still need 24 teams to have a league?

I've been playing baseball instead. Much more fun IMO as you have much more to do after each game with the lineups, resting guys, platooning, changing pitching settings based on who is fresh, etc...
