Screw it, let's just try to outscore everyone

1895-1896: Philadelphia Phillies - Pittsburgh Pirates (AL East)
... and that was exactly what I had just decided I'd do if you didn't. Sigh. Time to look again at the other rosters I built.

Well, some teams in this league can pitch and can't hit, and some are vice-versa. Most can't field the ball decently. There's a bunch I think will do decently, so I had trouble finding space between them. I think this group should score enough even against the great pitchers and hopefully not walk in 3 runs a game too often.

(repicking)

PS:
Am I missing something, or is there a set of NY Giants from these seasons in the AA or somewhere? I'm only seeing the NL players, but if I erred here it might impact my choice.

In 1890, there was a New York Giants in the Players League as well. You have to be careful to only roster the ones from the N.L.

EDIT: Before anymore picks are made in this league, please confirm whether you still want this combo or another...

A lot of the players from the eligible 1889 National League Giants team played on the ineligible 1890 Players League Giants team.

i.e., Roger Connor's 1889 season is eligible. His 1890 season is not.

I think I see now that the game doesn't sort these players correctly and I thought I could use everyone who showed up under New York Giants.

I'll change picks. Sorry for the delay.

OK, well of the remaining options I guess I hate this team the least because despite the horrific defense they do a few things well enough. But oh geez, this defense is a disaster.

thejuice6's second team must be in the AL West (since his other team is in the NL).

I've site-mailed ribbentrop to re-pick his division

Actually, JOERAT1 needs to move to the N.L. as well. I'll sitemail him...
