How easy is it to enforce the forfeiture of games? Will WIS be timely with this? Also how strict is this team B 10 mins less thing? Because if I start a player who normally plays 30 for 20mins I wouldn’t be surprised if in a tanking game he ends up closer to 18mins
If it's a weekday they would be very timely. But we could always adjust after the fact and take away wins on the leaderboard too.

I think it should be strict. If user A is tanking, user B can bank a few minutes, but shouldn't be setting their 30 minute guys at 20 anyways. Set them at 26 and the lowest they'll play is 20. Or if you are paranoid, set them at 28 or so.

Forgot to mention that in the virtual meet last night we discussed tanking and came up with a rule for the playoffs:

Any playoff game where a typical starter plays more than 10 minutes less than their min/82 (exceptions to be made for foul trouble) will be considered a tank game. Users are not allowed to tank a playoff game unless:

They announce on the league chat that they are tanking the game by 10:00 EST

Any announcement after this time will be considered void.
Any game that is tanked without an announcement prior to 10:00 EST will result in the following game being forfeited as well.

If an announcement is made that one opponent is tanking a game, the other user still needs to ensure that they are not tanking the game. If user A announces they are tanking, and user B plays their starters more than 10 minutes less than their min/82, user B will forfeit their next game and will not be allowed to tank that game.

I think this is a good place to land, and will add that I personally will be abstaining from tanking for at least BOWIS '24

Sounds good. What’s “League Chat?”

The league message board? Or a forum thread? Something else?

I have a few questions on the tanking rule:
1) Can team B also announce a tank after Team A? (Leading to a double tank)
2) What happens if you announce a tank, but then play normal minutes?
3) The 10:00 EST would be PM for the AM schedule and AM for the PM schedule?

1. I suppose so as long as both teams announce on time.
2. I will reach out to WIS and you will lose that game and the next game which you will not be allowed to tank.
3. Yes. It's about 4 hours notice.
