I was able to get one of the best in 7 out of the 16 available players. (whether I chose well is to be determined). Of those 7 5 were on offense. Torre, Foxx, Snider, Biggio, and Smith. Adding 94 Gywnn, 71 Simmons, 58 Covington, and 87 Spiers to a decent 2005 White my offense is solid. Yount is a solid defensive replacement. Only Caminiti is a waste. Starting threesome of Wynn, Plank, and 75 Palmer is only adequate but I added 4 solid relievers in Saito 2007, Farnsworth, 2005 , Linzy 191, and Jay 1958. With 1994 Hoffman a good bullpen. This time I went for quality years rather than saving cap space in all my early picks except for Caminiti.
My biggest dilema was deciding whter to take the 58 or 59 McMahon. 59 McMahon would have given me a .355 Aaron. I chose instead to pick up Covington and Jay and would have used Spahn as my third starter but picked up Palmer later on so used him instead. Besides I already had committed to the 94 Gywnn in the outfield and the Covington White cobination is as good as the 58 Aaron.
