sorry for the delay guys. I had a losing argument with a kitchen knife last night that ended up with me watching the NFL draft in the ER. 12 stitches later, I am good to go. I need some D with the statues I have in the OF

Ichiro Suzuki Seattle
Mariners now off the board. And curse you, Rick. I thought he'd slip through.

EDIT: Er, more importantly, glad you're okay after the knife incident!

Better to get into an argument with a mere knife and not Boris the Blade, imo

More like Texas Holding Everyone Up, am I right?

Usually he gets his team in before he stops checking it

He's here all week, folks. Try the veal!

The good thing about the Mariners going off the board is that I've been able to finish building my team. So, once beef makes his pick, I'll be able to get the league number out ASAP.

New rule, the top six teams each season are blacklisted for the next season, which works out since there are always six teams unused each season. Bonus comedy: somebody will always have the Rays!
Hmm. That could be interesting. For this season, that means the Indians, Astros, Brewers, Orioles, Royals, and Mets would be out this leg.
Best thing about this league is that, even though the rules are always the same, its so different every season. no need to change anything. probably the more popular of all the leagues.

good_beef’s final pick via sitemail: Mike Sweeney - KCR. League number coming shortly.

Well, given how well he hit for him when he had the Royals I can see how he couldn't pass that up.
4/26/2019 11:36 AM
FYI - I sent my pic to Sinfonian11 - it was Mike Sweeney from the Royals, I knew nobody else wanted him - only a .333 hitter, 206 hits, 29 HR, 144 RBI, WHO would want that kind of a Crappy player? & trenchfoot ain't going to use him, plus he can play catcher, So no Butch Wynegar, but I do have an A/A+/A+ catcher backing him up

Yes, yes I do believe I am looking forward to this

e: ugh, your forum is so awful, WIS. Fine I'll just post a link https://i.imgur.com/C0NT10W.png

Look man, when you have a chance to play a guy who hit .256 / .327 / .369 last time out in this league you'd be a fool entirely sensible person not to take it.

edit: Apologies, he did chip in 17 HR and 77 RBI from that notoriously light hitting position **checks notes** er uh first base. But maybe transitioning to catcher will give him that boost he needs to be crap at multiple positions!

The worst catcher performances on record all belong to 2014 Victor Martinez, who in six previous uses averages:

22 errors
23 passed balls
3 runners caught in
182 stolen base attempts
That's a 1.65% caught stealing rate.

That's the bar for Mike Sweeney. Can he be worse than that? I'm gonna guess yes.

Traded Joe Mauer for what might wind up being the worst catcher in Rule V history. Amazing.

I think I may be the only one who uses Victor's 2014 season at catcher, I just love his offense! Probably not the smartest thing, but I have made the playoffs at times with him at C. We shall see again this season!
