Wow, I can't believe some people actually paid money for what seems to be a pseudo-coaching clinic. What an incredibly ridiculous idea...and how he duped anyone into buying into this is beyond me. Really, what could you get here that you couldn't get free from another user?

I don't think he really duped everyone into it. I was around back then and I know I didn't purchase it. I just think its funny why people would pay for something to help them play something they payed for when they really can't win money.

Very good point as well schroed. $30 is a lot of money for a supposed "cheatsheet" of sorts.

Was not a cheat sheet. Was a great way for me to search for certain types of players. You would have needed to see the program to realize what it was. I certainly did not regret the $30 I paid for it. It is not like I needed it to be successfull.

With this program I did not have to make an Excel sheet every season for every team because it tracked all of the info for you.

The search ability was much more useful then anything else. I played around with it for a few days but no way was i paying $30 for it.

I got cheat codes with mine.

They didn't work.

colonels, once again... you are commenting on something you have no idea of. You don't know what the program was, what it's functions were, or how it was used.

I know him personally, he loved the game, and he worked his butt off as a programmer for a long time trying to write a program to help him scout recruits and process some of the numbers used in the game at the time.

He spent weeks going back and forth with WIS making sure there was nothing he was doing to violate the TOS and any other secret code that others had gotten the ban stick for.

He originally had no designs on charging for anything... he just came up with a way to better process the available info. When some of the great folks playing this game began wanting the program... he made a huge mistake. He offered it to them... once a few guys said hey... you should charge for all your hard work... he made his second mistake.... he listened.

Then the ******** began.... before it was over he hated the game, he hated alot of you guys... and i think he hated himself for ever showing anyone what he was capable of doing on a PC.

He quietly came back this fall after my coaxing to be a part of the Mega-Bowl for me... but his team was a ghost ship and I don't think he ever really even logged in at all.

as far as I know there are 3-4 people who play this game who actually know him and have any clue what he went thru,,, the rest of you need to drop it and let it go away. You simply have no clue what your talking about.

The idea itself seems incredibly pointless, and to charge $30 to use it...please. Him charging people to use this "service" would be like me charging people to view my rankings, its a complete joke.

I don't and I'm sure a lot of people don't care how hard it was to program, he should have realized from the get go that this thing was already in the L column, and I feel bad for those that paid money to use this nonsense. People really paid $30 for a scout/recruit helper....suckers.

i don't know colonels, say you play 100 seasons at roughly a thousand dollars... is it then that ridiculous to spend 30 for a tool to make it more enjoyable? i certainly don't think so. plenty of coaches, myself included, spend time making their own spread sheets or programs to help them with parts, or to get through the monotony. a LOT of time can be spent in those endeavors. i would pay 30 dollars for a piece of software that a few things i wanted without even thinking about it... think about how much time it would cost you to do it yourself?

I know I personally wouldn't buy it, but you do bring up a solid point billy.

The biggest problem with this, imo is that he made the program right before the FSS update, which everyone knew was coming and that is the reason most people that bought this were upset. They bought a tool that stopped working.

I am not taking anything away from what he did - but the time in which it was rolled out and sold to people with the promise to continually update, that is where the problem is. The site is down and those that actually bought the product can't re-acquire it if need be. I have nothing against elmore at all but it was just a bad business practice due to how it is was rolled out and how everything went down.

Did he refund anyone's money after promising constant updates? That is my only question.
