OK, fair enough. Whatever. Believe whatever you need to to get to sleep at night.

Sorry, tropicana, your post just made me laugh.

snake, considering you posted extensively in he other thread where this trade was actually talked about and laid out bit for bit, I find it hard to believe you don't know the specifics.

In fact, I bet that you're only trying to be an *** for the sake of doing it, and that you specifically remember everything about that trade and that you're just playing dumb about it to be....yes....an *** about it.

Plague, you may have posted in that thread too, I can't remember, honestly. And since I KNOW you're an ***, I really don't care to go look it up.

Sorry, buddy, but WIS ruled on only that trade. People still continue to trade players for cash. You may wish they outlawed the practice, you may even believe they did, but they didn't. Get your head out of the clouds and quit making an *** of yourself.

What is WIS general policy on trades involving cash. Can the cash transferred only equal salaries? Can you package cash in a deal to offset the talent level that may favor one team over another? Is vetoes the primary tool in this process? I am just curious on WIS policy involving players for cash type of trades. I understand that their is always exceptions, I am just asking for the general policy.

The only stipulation is that no more than $5M cash can be included in a trade. Aside from that, it's up to the owners in the world to address using the veto system.

In real life, the commissioner's office steps in if there's a lopsided deal. Rather than introduce that kind of subjectivity into the game, we went with a hard cap and the veto system.

There can be honorable trades involving cash and there can be some questionable ones. It's up to the owners to decide which is which.

If we find this system is being abused, we can review and adjust accordingly.

Found this thread interesting so I thought I would bump it back up.  Curious about other user's opinions on cash deals.  What is fair and what isn't?  I can see where $18mm between two teams is a substantial chunk but how do people feel about trading a blue chip prospect for cash and a middle tier prospect?
