A: How we calculate prestige for DII and DIII will not be changed - the only change at those divisions is that their prestige will be visible. The reason DII and DIII are not being changed is that the possible range of prestige values at those levels is far smaller than what's possible at DI and the current system does a good job of handling that. In addition, all DII/DIII schools have the same baseline prestige so that's also an issue that needed to be handled differently at DI.

And there is the reason that prestiges fluctuate much more at the lower levels then D1
I understand that.

You didn't respond to the original point.

I'll make it again, in bold this time:

It seems like it is just as easy to get a high prestige at a BCS school than it is in DII or DIII.

So tell me about the rest of the research you did? How high is their conference prestige? The higher the Conference prestige is the easier it is to maintain your prestige while having poor seasons.

So you are saying I am lying about how D1 prestige works?

Right there, I said that conference prestige is very important in individual schools prestiges.

Okay.

I'm not going to argue with you about it.

Yes, you did say that. I know that you know that matters. I don't think you are saying that BCS schools can attain high prestiges easily, but if you are, then this was all for nothing.

In the end, I think we agree enough that we are probably just arguing semantics.

Double Boo for the whole "I'm right and you're wrong, told you so" elementary school gibberish.

Although it is kinda ironic that someone who calls out CS and their BS as much as Zhawks does is using them to SUPPORT his points. Whatever lets you win the argument, I guess........

I dont understand the premise of the argument.... D1 schools have BUILT in prestige. D3 schools dont. It is easier to move up in prestige in D3 then it is to move up with a low baseline prestige D1 team, however it is harder to move up in prestige then it is to move up with a team that has a B or higher baseline prestige in a good conference. Its that simple.

zhawks lost this one. He didn't win it.

The irony of this is that both in this thread fight pretty much agreed with each other the whole time. But they were much more interested in fighting than in discovering that. Once they finally saw this, did they say, "Sorry, dude. I misunderstood you. We're cool."? No, instead they started arguing over which one was right in their earlier judgements of the other, based on what the other one said. Frustrating when such unnecessary disagreements go on like this, and it detracts from reputations of those involved. JMO.

Is it wrong for me to use CS to support me when they are right?

CS is never right

The OP pointed out 2 problems in the game that will hopefully be fixed in next engine.

1. Someone able to win consistently while giving 50% of distros to 1 guy, despite facing double teams, etc. (I'm assuming the OP observed M2M and Zone teams double the guy and lose).

2. A press where double teams chase the ball non-stop, which is really nothing like a real-life press.
