I wish some of the other top 100 players on LIVE would join us in this tourney to challenge dtown.

Ox, I told myself I would not join this again because the way you handled some things last go around. It a sour taste in my mouth some of the things that were said during signups, then weren't held to that when the tourney started.

In the last initial signups, it was said that we would vote on caps and have all the league rules in place before the tourney started. When we voted for particular themes, it was well known that we would vote on the caps for each league. That did not happen. Instead, you determined the caps.

That's where the tourney lost me. The Sim side has their ways about doing things, and thats them. What we discussed during this tourney last time is why do we have to follow them? In LIVE, it is a rare, and i mean rare sighting to see a 60 mill. cap. In Sim world, it isn't. That's where dtown had a huge advantage over all of us. (Not that it mattered, he would have gone to the World Series anyways in his dominant showing.)

All I'm saying I guess is this. I am in, but I would really like the LIVE society to make the championships more to the liking of the LIVE society. We normally play 100-140 caps here with 80 mill the lowest. How about getting a real test of LIVE players that know how to draft these teams through experience rather than the people who have played on the sim side getting a break because they know what to do through experience. Make the LIVE tourney OURS, and let's not fit it to be like the sim world. It is really two different places.

I would join if it started in the spring. I will have no time or extra money until then. Caps should stay between 60 and 120 mil. NO IDENTICAL ROSTER LEAGUE!!! I may have more thoughts later, but that is what i've got for now.

Thanks guys. And I am putting this thread out early to get everything discussed and decided on before the tournament starts in order to avoid any potential issues like the couple we had last time.

I would like to reference what joshkvt brought up with the scoring system. He believes there is too much emphasis put on the postseason with the scoring system. Please let me know your opinions on it.

I'm in again but would STRONGLY lobby against the identical and clone leagues. They lost my interest, and others, very quickly. Someone fill in the blanks, but one of those...maybe the clone...had an impossible cap. it was the hardest draft I ever did.

Awesome, thanks phex!

I agree no clones, no identical roster league.

Yeah we won't be doing either of those again this time around. I would like to think of one tough draft league though. The $80 Million 5-Man Clone League was a very challenging draft. If we could think of another challenging draft that doesn't involve clones I would like that. I'm brainstorming.

As I said ox a Low say 80 mil cap with only good defenders would prove a challenge
