I don't know if any of you guys play GD or not, but there are several ratings systems that have been heavily refined and used for many seasons there:

The GUESS ratings are the best IMO, but Media Guide is also good. There are also spreadsheets for evaluating recruits and managing rosters.

Different WIS game, but similar ratings systems...you might be able to pick their brains for useful info on how to set things up.

dacj, I'd think FT would be pretty much a constant when looking at it this broadly.

I'd personally put passing higher on the bigs, but definately for C's. That and I've come to think BL is about the lowest priority core in the field. Good blockers can change tight games, but in general, I'll take points in other catagories if it means poorer blocking.

hey, I forgot about this thread - got your sitemail, happy to discuss - but understand, I have no data to support the chart that I posted - was more an off the cuff attempt to depict my mental rules of thumb

Funny that you just posted. I'll probably mention it sometime later, too, but I am struggling with how much impact Ball Handling has on PGs. My starting PG (D3) has only 57 BH, but is still very good with high passing and high speed. It's the biggest thing I'm struggling with so help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone built an HD version of that file? i've looked at it a little, and after getting rid of the conversion data, should be pretty straight forward. Obviously if someone has already done the work, I'll love to get it.
