I don't know what the "revised" forums looked like that people have mentioned, but the ones they have up for the HD testing right now seem pretty solid to me. Not a whole lot different from what we see today, but more functionality.

I agree that I wouldn't want to change the "predictability" aspect of high draft picks, but I would like to see the DiTR system updated to make a few late round picks actual all-star canidates each season.

Would be much more realisti
Ive seen plenty of busts for reasons other than health, namely **** poor management while they are in the minors, which could be argued as the reason for any real life bust too.

Jesse Engle

7th pick overall, has never won 10 games in a season.

William Gordon

5th overall pick. He was released and no one signed him and has retired at a young age.He finished his career with 15 wins.

Banana Regan

Former 1st overall pick at the age of 32 has 92 lifetime wins. After his rookie season his career has gone down hill. He has never had a season ERA under 4 and he has never made the all star team.

Ed Witt

Former second pick overall at the age of 30 has never played in the major league.

Bad drafting doesnt mean they were bust, it just means they should have never been drafted that early.

Couldn't it be said that alot of 1st round busts IRL are bad drafting?

Could the same not be said for real life? Those players drafted early in real life were not busts, it just meant they should not of been drafted that early.

not what i meant. suppose you have the HBD equivalent of derek jeter and you're in ST of his contract year. if he's willing to re-sign now, would you go ahead and get it out of the way, at risk of him getting injured and devaluing his contract

If you have a derek jeter and he's still in his prime, what are you waiting for? You should have locked him up already. And especially if his health is 95, as you later stated.

Health was a big reason for Brien Taylor being a bust. Don't you remember that fight he got in and fell on his pitching shoulder? However, he wasn't on the fast track thaey had hoped he would be on before that accident, but he wasn't yet a bust.

My point, which was apparently missed by deano, is that the latest engine change made some players rather useless. Locking up a bunch of players to long-term deals might not be such a good idea.
