So if everyone all of the sudden puts those guys back into their lineups, we'll have a HR surge past the WIS target number.
And then they'll adjust the engine again.

Predictable to everyone but site staff, it would seem.

Glad I haven't traded my entire teams away.. My Cooperstown team might have a shot now...

They are just going to make the ball a little denser (tighter) - they made it too soft last year - just like MLB which will probably do the same - you have to see who is playing well, and bench the guys who are not, based on the circumstances. Since I don't see anything about defense I guess that will stay enhanced, so the goal is now defensive players with some power.

Constant engine changes. Some of us make adjustments thinking, obviously incorrectly, that we'll be playing under a certain set of guidelines for more than one season. If you aren't sure of what sort of results you're going to create, don't change the engine until you are sure.

But, on the flip side, I've got 5 90+ power prospects on my Hamilton team that I thought were going to be useless. So you know what I did? Cut their playing time. I even sent one down to make room for someone who would hit a little. Maybe I should sign up for one of those free seasons since my players aren't going to develop properly.

constant engine changes are okay if they are tweaks, drastic engine changes that miss the mark are a bigger issue

This constant changing IN THE MIDDLE OF A SEASON is standard operating procedure for WifS. One of the reasons I quit playing the SIM engine.

Until WifS figures out they need to structure their code so that they can make rolling changes (i.e. at rollover for each world as it comes up) we are stuck with this kind of nonsense.
