Injuries: For or Against? Topic

is it not tied to # of minutes played? i know that is nitpicking, but i do think it is something that is based on factors coaches control. and the forward-looking truth is they will be more based on durability (i consider the fact that injuries are less severe today based on durability to mean durability impacts them, not the probability, but that is not the only aspect of injuries, is it?). so i think the question is, injuries based on things the coaches have some control over, or no injuries.

i am kind of split. i think forcing coaches to adapt is good, but a key season-ending injury in the NT is a little too brutal for my tastes. i would vote for an option for more injuries in the regular season and no injury effect on the post season, but im sure that is not going to happen either...

Against injuries.

I'm fine with injuries - so long as they are small. In fact, I'd fine with more injuries that have modest effects. Give special value to depth

I am bothered by the big, long, rare injuries which have too big an effect on a season.

Fine with Injuries.

I'm fine with injuries as long as both the probability of someone getting injured to begin with and the duration of injury are tied to durability.

And if they want to give us the 13th scholarship at D1, like they have in real life, to help with depth issues, I'd be perfectly OK with that, too!

How can you have a sports sim with no injuries?

Against....also against academic ineligibility, early entries to an extent, transfers

I am against catastrophic injuries with a roster limit of 12. Minor injuries tied to durability are fine with me.

I am for injuries.

For injuries. Wish there were more. Wish there were a higher percentage that were moderate to severe. They happen in real life, sometimes to great players, sometimes at inopportune moments. Anything making the game more realistic is an improvement in my opinion.

So you want the top schools to have unlimited budgets in recruiting. How about D3 schools can not offer scholarships. HD is not real life.

It's not real life but let's not make it too arcade like.

I am OK with injuries

Absolutely, positively not.

It's early and this card has been played many times so I'm not going to start listing them again, but there are scads of things that happen in real life that would be awful for HD.
