Cornell is playing 40 miles from home and should have good crowd support. However, Kentucky qualified several hours earlier and their fans had a headstart on the tickets.
But I think St. Mary's is my favorite.
Cornell is a IVY league school, kentucky will buy the $10 tickets Cornell will get the court side $100+ tickets
the cheapest ticket you can find is $100+.
Each school gets 500 really good seats that they can distribute to thier fans.
higher seeds (UWV and Kentucky) get 500 seats directly behind the players. (thats where the student section normally is in the CarrierDome) the two weaker seeds (Cornell and Wash) get 500 tix directly across from the players.
Schools can request additional tix and Cornell did request 750 extra and got them... i think the are behind the basket on floor level.. but im not totally sure.
Cornell is having a lottery for these 1,250 tickets. The price is $160 for the 3game set.
But I guess the rest of the dome is already sold out? anyways, stubhub is selling nosebleed seats for $119 plus taxes, etc. same seats were going for $69 at halftime of the Cornell/wisconsin game and $98 this morning (those prices are for thursdays game only)
