This is correct!! Any Pitcher (eligible per inning availability setting) will enter (per Sparky) before a pitcher set as a specialist..........EVERY pitcher set anything but LHS/RHS will enter FIRST. This means Long B, Set B, etc. EVERY available arm.

I don't agree with this, but it is the way it IS!

But some of my favorite low IP RP’s are the 2020 Sherrif for under $1m and the 2016 Rich Hill partial (obviously). There’s a handful of low oav studs though between 800k-$1.3m that I’ll use in my OL’s

I have been just strictly using RHS/LHS and nothing else but have occasionally used Closer for a 2016 Melancon for instance or
according to the team and who i have in Pitching LineUp ...

It seems like if Sparky chooses by OAV then the right person usually comes in at the right time especially in the case of a closer thus making it unnecessary to assign a Herrera or Milacki or whoever as such ...

By default, LH/RH specialists are “specialists”, and as such are used in more specific situations. Because of this, any pitchers set as Long A/B, Setup A/B or Closer A/B will be utilized first, with the exception of closer if you set up your settings correctly - click box for only using closer in save situations AND make closer available only in 9th inning - should still allow your specialists to come in as intended.

Yes, it should. That is my experience, Cousin Bob...

My 2 cents is many of you overspend on RP, especially closers, at OL type salary caps. $1.5M should be adequate, given you have other options to fill in. I'm a Sergio Romo fan, Rick Helling, Dennis Rasmussen, even Marty Bystrom or Roger Mason. Stroman and Herrera can collectively do the job too. There is nothing wrong with getting it done by committee...at higher caps I've found '07 Nick Maddox works well. You don't need Kimbrel or Gagne to do the job.

100% drk. There are a dozen or so phenomenal pitchers that have 25-30ip and cost less than 1.2m.

In my New Open Team i have 2018 Kelvin Herrera and 2015 Marcus Stroman among others but everyone is Specialist ... I could change 1 or 2 to Closer 8th or 9th 10-20 if I saw someone was performing superbly ... Other than 1886 Frank Gilmore ($3,122,104) with 102 IP/162 I have 6 RP With 2016 Mark Melancon at 1.17 Million Priciest ... I have choosen Herrera from first team as am from KCMO and Stroman is a DRAFT CENTER find along with others

THE Best Closer is short season 2020 Trevor Rosenthal. At 255 he is as studly as an 80 Mil league Cisco type. Of course he will need help with his short innings. At a low CAP he's surely over priced. But still the best.
