Do you guys think I should bump up the seasons or perhaps split the league '70-'72 (pick any 12 teams for this time period) vs '80-'82 (pick any 12 teams for this time period) keep the years in seperate confernce, then work up in seasons and keep all the same properties? I actually sort of like the new idea more ...

..this format gives EVERY prospective owner a litter of great, great options.

i probably wouldn't make a format change as significant as splitting the league once you've already got owners under the old format. That may have effected their team choices.

If you were going to make any format change, I might move the starting year by 1 year to 1989. This way you get 2 more teams (Magic and Timberwolves) to choose from which may bring more interest later as late joining owners would have 4 teams to choose from for the last 2 spots.

i'll take a second team if you'll give me the Orlando Magic. They started in 1989, so if you wanted to keep everything under the same starting format, I'd be willing to draft my first year only using the years 1989-90 and 1990-91. After that, it'd all be the same. If not, I'll just stick to the Pistons.

I wouldn't ask current owners to keep their teams, they could choose new ones.

I thought about your scenario beforehand as well, adding an extra year to the first version to allow 2 more teams. We'll see how this plays out.

I mean we could go 12 teams starting in the 50s and 12 teams starting in the 60s even and work our way up. I think this idea has alot of potential.

If you change the rules make sure you outline them on page one because I only committed to what is on page one. If you change them I will decide when they are finalized.
