Essentially, the difference is this:

70 ATH               50 ATH
35 SPD               50 SPD
45 REB               75 REB
75 DEF               50 DEF
90 LP                  70 LP
40 PER               70 PER
C FT                    B FT

Thoughts on that?
I would take the guy on the left hands down. Having players that can play 2 or 3 different positions is a huge advantage, and makes game planning against you a nightmare for opposing coaches(see the game where mason destroyed my team because he rolled a 90+ speed player at SF when i wasn't expecting it). Also i have found it better to either have great ATH or great SPD if you can't find a player that has great numbers in both, middle of the road players i.e. 50/50 players always seem to under preform.
Where else could the guy on the left play?

The guy on the right can play 3/4.  I'm not putting a guy with 45 reb at PF.
i would play him at the 3/4/5 any of them would work.
you'd put a guy with 45 reb at C? really?

yeah i would his ATH is on the high end and if hes going up against a 40 ath 15 spd center he would dominate him. You wouldn't start a good player just because of one rating? 2 of the top 4 rebounders on my team are under 55 in REB.

these days, i'd say that's a B- d2 SF
B- as in slightly above average as far as starters go. granted, average would be a non-postseason team. i think he'd fit in well backing up both forward positions
I'd take him over my SF on my caldwell team and hes averaged over 18 ppg the last 2 seasons. This year hes at 18 a game on over 53% shooting.

i'd just put him at PF. such a large % of the rebounds in this game come from the center position; if the other team had a C of 70 ATH and 90 REB he'd outrebound the crap outta the 45 REB guy.

I don't think its that drastic actually in a game earlier this year i have my C who is 85ath 73 reb go up against a 78 ath 49 reb C, any guesses what happened? my guy had 3 Rebound to his 6.

that doesn't really say much given the amount of variability in the game. if you replayed that game an infinite number of times, your guy would probably get outrebounded 30% of the time or so. your guy would also, most likely, average 2-3 more boards per game than his guy.

you said he would out rebound the crap outta him and by the example i showed it didn't happen, over time yes they would most likely get more REBs but its not a lock every game and i don't think recruiting a player to just be good at REB is a good idea.

i dont think it's a good idea, either. what did you think i meant by outrebound the crap outta him? 20-3 in every game? over time you'd probably see a rebound ratio of 8-5 or 9-5, which i consider rebounding the crap outta someone. yes, i do think the rebounding rating has a significant effect on rebounding; i HOPE it does.
