I'm trying to move it off of me, since  am the defending champion. There are a lot of teams in the shootout that have the capability to win. My first goal is to come out of it with at least a winning record. But I sure would like to repeat too.

I'm hoping for a bit of a better showing this season. It's going to be tough to knock off E. Conn 2 years in a row, but I'll see what I can do. Good luck everyone, this should be a heck of a Shootout.

considering the awful coaching at EConn, i'd say it's probably very likely you beat them for the 2nd year in a row

Uh Oh - now I am in big trouble after suffering a loss just before the Eastern Connecticut game. Our confidence is shaken, which cannot be a good thing. Great win by Salem State to take me out last night.

This is shaping up as the worst season in the history of William Paterson University.  I've never seen the AD message after non-conference play for an 0-10 start, but I have a feeling I will be familiar with it sometime on Tuesday afternoon.

if you wanna bench your jr class just to make sure, i won't complain...

Looks like a Repeat will be virtually impossible, unless I can win the rest and everyone else loses at last two games, in which case I could tie.

Still really wide open in the shootout...the undefeated teams in the Bird Pool play each other this morning and OshKosh plays undefeated Blackburn in a few games.  Blackburn has several tough games ahead, so it's possible we could have a champion with a loss.  However, if Eastern survives their matchup with OshKosh this am, they have to be considered the odds on favorite to go undefeated and take this thing home.

So realistically, Eastern has to be the favorite.  I'm not sure how the tiebreakers work and I'm not going to play out every single scenario to see who is mathmatically eliminated or still alive, but here's what the most likely contenders have left.  Still several games between contending teams as well as with some of the teams sitting at 4-2 so anything can happen.

6-0 Eastern: Yeshiva, Salem State
5-1 EConn: @ Salem State, Yeshiva
5-1 Yeshiva: @ Eastern, @ EConn
5-1 Blackburn:  Palm Beach Atlantic, WI-OshKosh

If Eastern somehow lost both games, it's possible depending on other outcomes that some of the 2 loss teams could be in the mix, but it's not looking likely at this point.  Eastern getting both games at home is a huge help and should all but guarantee that the title is theirs.  At the very least it's theirs to lose.

Looking VERY tough for Yeshiva having to play those two teams on the road.  Blackburn with the next toughest schedule, but they get both games at home.  Eastern and EConn have the same schedule, except EConn has one of the games on the road.  Not sure how the tiebreakers work, but several of those should be decided in the next couple of games if they are actually needed
