Right. In the second year draft you'll be able to pick rookies from 1952 and 82, as well as anyone available from 1902.

If someone was a rookie in 1949, they would not be coming up in our draft at all (unless this league lasts 49 seasons of course).

Good to have you on board, I'll put you down for the Philly A's!

Awesome, thanks

One more question, do we have an Injured Reserve? for players who are not in the database for a couple years that we want to keep but can't fill out the roster?

Yes on IR.

Don't hesitate to ask if you've got any other questions.

What's the trade policy? how many to veto a trade, any cap on the amount of trades? how far in advance can you trade picks?

Bones Ely, Snake Wiltse, and Wiley Platt all played for the athletics and another team. Which go to which team? Sorry if i'm blowing up the forum i can sitemail you if you'd rather do that.

Don't worry, more posts bumps it up the thread, and maybe more people will see it.

The rule is that whichever team had a player first in the 1901 season has the right to them. I'll go look those guys up and give you an answer for them.

Not sure what the veto number will be set at, hadn't thought of that. Open to suggestion on it, wouldn't want it to be exceptionally high or low.

No caps on number of trades, deal away!

You can only trade picks as far as one year out.

ok.

Since pittsburgh cut those two guys how about we just throw them my way? =D

I think we need to keep it to the one team only having the right to keep multi-team players. Otherwise things could get real confusing.

Farmer Streelman, property of Philadelphia Athletics or Brooklyn Superbas?

Brooklyn had him first.

damn

Sorry 'bout that. For the record, I'm just looking the players up in baseball-reference to determine which team they played for first in 1901.
