I have a feeling nothing changed, it's just that you noticed a statistical variance.  They don't randomly change the weighting of individual ratings...

No regular player would be punished more by a sub 40 split change than the most interesting man in the world Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Angel Hernandez    He's been consistently bad against RH pitching over the last 4 seasons.

Isn't that odd that a LH hitter would have such backwards splits?  Don't those splits make more sense for a RH hitter?  I see this a lot.

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Hector Arias comes back, plays a flawless RF in his first game and picks up two hits.  One was a souvenir.

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Max Colome plays 1B and collects two singles.  OPS of 1.054.

Update!

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Max Colome is sent to AAA.   As expected, his production began to drop-off.   OPS down to .997 and I couldn't keep 2 1B, 2 LF and 2 RF on the roster any longer due to fatigue issues at other positions.
