I'll come in...Is there a minimum of live games?

Thanks for playing jkorn! I have always preferred 60 but the norm these days it seems is 40. Let's debate this here while we fill up. I am ok either way but if everyone is confident they can make an effort to play 60 I am all for that.

50 works

50 is good, if there are penalties for those falling short. In a 16-team league, being in a half of the league where two people stop playing early it's hard to get more than 40 in. If three play just a few games, 50 is very difficult. If teams lost a chance for, say, a top-four draft pick if they are short, it's usually enough incentive to keep people playing.

Is there any way to have a balanced schedule between the two leagues?  That would help ease it if some owners stop playing live.  How about a $12.95 penalty for playing less than half the required amount

I'm not sure if a balanced interleague 16 team format is available but I will check on it

ok.......Is there a achance we reward teams that play live??

How about you get 160 points for being the team with the worst record. 150 points for the team with the next worst record and then 140 ect......until you go to where the World series winner will only get 10 points.....

you then give every team 1 point for playing a live game.....

Example:::

Team A  goes   60-102  and has the worst record but only plays 50 live games. He gets  210  total draft points

Team B  goes  61-101 and plays 100 games live. His total draft points would be 250

Team C  goes 62-100 and plays 72  games live.  His total would be     212


So just for those 3 teams the  order would be      B-C-A in the draft....

In that scenario a team that is lets say 8th best overall but plays 150 games live is great for the league and still would have a chance to pick high(even 1st). The scenario I just offerd up would give him 80 points for being 8th and 150 points for the games played live, He would get 1st pick with 130 points...

What do you think.??
