Just how FUBAR is the new jobs process Topic

The whole process is broken in my opinion.  There are many that have gone decades in WIS without Human Coaching at the D1 level.  I just want the chance, any program, don't care how low the Prestige.....just want to be in D1.  Yes I understand the desire for a top flight program (Arkansas) was the point of this thread, but I see it as an entire system failed.
You should have the ability to rise to the "Lower Branches" of D1 solely on Wins.  You should have to maintain Wins/Loyalty/Prestige to climb to the "Mid Major" level, AND THEN be a success at Mid-Major to be an elite.  Just my opinion....I just want to build a program, and compete (if I can) at D1, because that is where all my friends and family reside in WIS.

stay at WWW for a couple more seasons with some middling success and you'll be able to do just that. The reason you've not been able to move up is too much moving around sideways, I think. the system is particular about loyalty... especially D1.

Absolutely too much lateraling.  Eight seasons, seven different teams (including six different D2 teams).  As Wronoj said, stay at WWW for a couple more seasons, make a couple of NT's, and you should be able to move up then.

Loyalty is a marginal factor. I had A+ loyalty, A- program prestige at Minnesota coming off a Final Four, had been there for 10 seasons with several NT appearances, but little NT success until the Final Four, and despite raising them from C+ to A-, was not even eligible for a C prestige job at any other D-I program. CS said they didn't think it was quite right, but no remedy was even considered.

I think it's clear that almost none of the customers think the job selection process works correctly or fairly, and also that the HD developers have little interest in improving it or rectifying obvious errors. And it saddens me to say it.

Good loyalty won't get you a job you're otherwise not qualified for, but less than A+ loyalty can absolutely keep you from getting a job you otherwise would have been qualified for.

professor, I don't think you were implying you think the jobs process work the right way, but just checking.

No, I absolutely do not think the jobs process works correctly! My post was simply in response to the immediately prior post where someone commented that loyalty was a marginal factor. That is true on the positive side, but it is much more than marginal on the negative side, when it can actually be the dominant factor.

axe, your CC was actually the beginning of my motivation for this thread...that and the fact that it looks like Arkansas will have to become dogshit before we get a human coach in there - not from lack of desire, but because of the new system...
i wanted to take it, couldnt on either user name. both had 1 bad season. one had rebuilt texas a&m from mediocre to national champion in like 7 seasons. the other had just teh one bad season, preceeded by a title game loss - in the past 5 seasons before the bad, 5 2nd round, 4 elite 8s, 3 final 4s, 2 title games. the 4 seasons before that, rd2, s16,s16, e8. not my finest work but how the hell are neither of those teams qualified for... wait for it... ARKANSAS. makes no god damn sense. even at an a+ prestige.
Anyone else find it funny that Billy G built up A&M, but now can't get a job?

D- prestige school should allow a lower Loyalty rating to be human school.  There are plenty of D- schools that it appears no human wants because they have gone season upon season without a human.

And for the record, I have changed schools alot because I have not been able to play two seasons together until this stretch.  And the only reason I could do that is the five pack that was a gift from my dad at Christmas.
I was once told on a CS Ticket that if you had to leave a job/world for a season, you were never penalized for Rep or Loyalty when you came back.  When I changed Schools in January and my Loyalty went from A+ to F, the response to my CS ticket was the same as was pointed out by you guys, I changed schools too ofte!  In other words the original CS response was NOT correct.

Straight from D3, I'm qualified for half of the C+ jobs, longshot for the other C+, and fully qualified for all C and lower jobs. Seems a little too easy.
But are you qualified for any of the BCS schools? A C prestige in MEAC is not treated the same as a C prestige in the Big East.

Yes, qualified for C prestige Big 6 schools, longshot for C+ Big 6.

Disclaimer before some jackass with poor reading comprehension skills responds: I am posting this as info only. I am NOT in any way ****** off I didn't get the job.

I applied for B- Arkansas in Phelan from A prestige D2 Billings as a long shot. I was denied the next cycle because my 690 D2 wins (no titles) And 73% win ratio didn't establish enough of a winning atmosphere. I have perfect loyalty and reputation.

Again, to riders of the short bus, please don't post on here about how I didn't deserve the job. I am only posting for people to have some additional background and data on why they may or may not qualify for a certain job.
