Spoken like the true poacher you are onlyis. If FSU had been in the mix at any point I would of gotten out did it with Georgia on another recruit.its the fact that a school can recruit f9r one or two cycles vs three days is the rub. I guess a poacher like yourself can't understand that. Seven pages and 12 site emails tells me I hit a nerve one that needs to be fixed.
So wait .. if Florida State is battling Florida or Miami for a 5 Star recruit and they know they are going to lose .. so, they opt out of that battle and pick the next best guy they see that they think they can get, before he is signed elsewhere then that is somehow wrong?
If Georgia loses a football recruit to Alabama, do they not try to take a guy they want away from Georgia Tech because Georgia Tech has been recruiting him for a while?
Or does Duke not jump on someone if they lose a top notch recruit to Kentucky, North Carolina, or Kansas .. regardless of when it is during the recruiting cycle.
The whole point of having several days to recruit (in the game) is because not all people have the same amount of time to spend recruiting. People have real life to deal with (vacations, work, dates, etc.). Getting on someone first means nothing. You have to have the resources to keep guys you want.
I know lots of guys who take walkons so they can protect a recruit they want. That is a drastic step, but they need the cash to protect a player. Taking that walkon is a huge issue for depth and the future. Why should someone who overextends (takes guys who they can't protect) be rewarded while guys who take walkons to not be overextended hurt their team.
I don't normally jump on guys late .. but it is part of the game and it should be.
