Quit crying about Beta. Topic

I've signed 1 of 3 so far..he was a projected d1 guy and a top 150 ranked guard. My other 2 if I land them are both ranked and projected d1 guys as well. I don't know how all of this is going to work just yet but I still don't like the fact that after scouting I could only get enough to the same level that we currently get from FSS that is equivalent to the size of Hawaii (30 with 3 open schollies) on any given year and only 1 of them was decent. I've just gotten lucky that a few of these ranked guys have fallen through the cracks atm. I'm lazy, I know, but what is the total # of coaches in beta? Is it comparable to the worlds we have now? I still think something needs to be done with scouting for d3 because of the current recruiting gen and I don't think things will turn out like this year after year with these d1 guys for d3 but not seeing good talent will happen year to year when I currently have only enough budget to see about 10 per open slot.

With the new system, it seems like you might as well not even both with scouting D3 guys. Just go scout up for the big boys right away.

Someone else had counted human owned teams in the Beta and it was similar to current worlds. Maybe slightly more humans.

I think signing a top 150 guard at D3 is ridiculous Taggl. I mean, it will kill D3. If D3 human teams are better than D1 SIMS and probably some D- D1 teams human owned, we have a problem. The top D3 teams, say Emory's last season, was built on good D2 players and top D3 players.

I think that one thing we may want to keep in mind is that the time was accelerated a lot in the Beta. Because of this, some D3 teams have been able to find and sign players that a D2 or even D1 team might be interested in before those teams realized they were available. It might m,make sense to have the recruiting period be a bit longer before signings start, and that could possibly change the dynamics a bit to where this does not happen as often.

Your first sentence really worries me. This is much like beta was done before potential was rolled out - not a disciplined approached with the way the game actually runs live. There would be days where nothing would go, and then half a season would run in 3 days. And then, after the beta, a game with numerous issues was released and drove many users away while it took 6-9 months of live play to get bugs worked out.

hmm I wonder if anyone brought up the poor planning and running of the beta before melting down when it was labeled hearsay.....

The few flamers seem really out of place, trying to cry "the sky is falling" when the beta is proceeding as well as it is and seble is participating openly on the forums and making changes in accordance with the feedback. That is how a beta is supposed to work. For the flamers trying to site "years" of inactivity by seble before the current work, I say welcome to the Flat Earth Society. This is 2016.

yes you know everything with your 5 seasons of experience you clearly understand the game and can readily contribute. I don't think you've done anything besides just tell us seble is doing a good job....

beta has major flaws anyways so its results are skewed anyways....

no idea how this relates to the flat earth society.... this is more like your father who left your family 20 years ago showing up and trying to rekindle what "relationship" you've had. He also has demostrated a pretty clear lack of knowledge about this game with the post he makes, I'd compare his knowledge right now to someone whose been here a tad bit longer than you which I guess is why he seems so smart to you because you don't know anything and seble doesn't know anything....

the few knobgobblers seem out of place screaming the beta is fine and seble is smart when you have no idea about the game and just think seble showing up all of the sudden is fine and to trust him

The truth of the matter, whether you like it or not is that Seble had a rather long period of inactivity. His track record of listening to his paying customers up until this beta has been subpar at best as well. It's refreshing to see him active in the beta forums...but the only reason there's a Flat Earth Society is because of his history. You can complain about the flamers all you want, but they're paying the same money as you to play and complaining is their option.

OMFG! People need to quit being such little toddlers about this. I have been playing this game since 2008 and from what I can see the beta is not going to hurt one damn thing. It might even help the mid majors land a recruit from time to time. I am so sorry the Big 6 teams have to "click" more. Oh the horror of mouse clicking. You still have to coach the teams once you recruit them. All the adults, and I use that term loosely, crying over a beta is laughable and annoying at the same time.

actually the flamers get less attention than the stupid praisers because we pay less since we win more.

How much money have you paid for HD seasons lately? My guess is its a lot less than what all the people who are super excited have...it is clear that this is meant to drive off the freeloaders.

dac summed it up nicely, and I've said it too multiple times.

That post of "anything to drive off the freeloaders" is one of the dumber things anyone has posted about Beta. Freeloaders are essentially as big a benefit to the site as paying customers because the amount HD gives out in credits is the same every season. For every less "freeloader" there is another person who will now earn the credits the "freeloader" used to get. Don't be so jealous of other people. "Freeloaders" almost by definition understand the game better than those who pay to play so it makes sense to listen to their perspectives - and "freeloaders" certainly come out on all sides of the beta. But to think "freeloader" is an insult just is asinine.

you think any of these scrubs are good enough to get to the level where they don't pay lol? we'd see sims win NC if the good coaches left, these coaches would still struggle to get pas the 1st round.
