There is. In a nut shell:

Triangle gives a boost to the players with the highest distro and stresses "basketball skills" above ATH.
Flex weights SPEED and PER more than other systems do.
Fastbreak value SPEED and ATH more and LP/PER less.
I don't know how the hell motion works (SPD and BH more, PASS/PER less?) but works best when all 5 guys on the floor have equalish distro and can score.

Now, I know why I have a top 5 all American and a efficient scorer at 11 distro +2 range. But its best to +2 a guy when he is 70 per or more. Triangle is my best offense I can run and its usually ran through small forward or high distro efficient scorer.

I am a type of coach to run my plays through somebody for the whole game. If its a c shooting three's which could happen or its a pg shooting three's he will get most of my distro. Lmao running it through your best option works 99.9% of the time.

I haven't tried flex but I am looking to do it in the future. What attributes do you need in flex? I would like to know more TrentonJoe.

I was horrible at fastbreak/press when I switch it to the op to exploit the system. I need to know more so I can be more efficient at it. Care to explain?

Motion is ran through guards and just use aejones guide to help with the process.

I think he meant PER.

I really liked flex when I ran it, knowing everyone was recruiting ath and def, I would go in another direction and recruit for perimeter and speed. Won a D-3 championship and made the Final 4 with a low major D-1 team with that strategy. I actually followed lostmyth's teams, one of them being high speed, perimeter and ballhandling while running flex, which is where I got the idea from.

I would have to say fastbreak is my favorite, because you can shoot from a high percentage from 2 or 3. Get to the free throw line often put the other team in foul trouble. If you have the right group of players that fits into that style of play, the fastbreak can be nearly impossible to stop.

I never liked the triangle and could never get it to work. I would get too many inconsistent results on offense.

What's your favorite offense to run and why? What kinds of players do you like to look for in that offense?
My favorite offense to run is triangle. I can tell you the best offenses to use in 3.0. But let me give you a little history lesson.

2.0 Fast break/Press was the ultimately power house of the system. It was design to exploit the system and run through guards. You would see any elite program run a fast break/press and win championships.

I can tell you the most effective offense's to run in 3.0 which are motion, triangle, flex. Motion is ran through guard's so does flex. Triangle is ran through the small forward position.

If you can get a 70 and above guard and run it at +2 and at 11 distribution. It will be killer in the triangle and you can run it through him. Although triangle is primarily run through the small forward.
What do u mean by 11 distribution? I haven't seen anything about changing distrution.

Ignore that, most of it is wrong, incomplete, or just nonsensical.

VandyDave a top 5 coach in hoop dynasty told me that most people use 7 or 11?

How is vandydave a Top 5 coach? Seems like a bit of a stretch. Not saying he's a bad coach, but wouldn't put him anywhere near the Top 5.

7 or 11 what? For everyone? I've read 20 discussions on distro and I'be never heard of this "7 or 11" theory.
3/3/2017 11:02 PM
I've never heard of this 7/11 thing.
3/3/2017 11:16 PM
Distro to 100 overall, never fails.
3/3/2017 11:16 PM
That works better for motion, the 100 thing.
