FWIW, it's not a "OMG!!! PLEASE DO THIS FOR US!!!" idea. I don't play in two a days because I don't want to be "obligated" to check in. I absolutely refuse to check WifS when I'm doing something else(hence my rant about dudes at the gym checking their goddam phones). But having the option to make adjustments would be nice.

That said, I think kcsd said it would be underutilized and a major program change. So, yeah, probably not worth it as it would likely go underutilized.

Read what I wrote - yes, I'd like to have more control. BUT I don't think with the current settings we have to play with are enough to be worth splitting the game in halves. I think the benefit would be minimal. IMHO.

Secondly, even if you could have more control with halftime adjustments and it would make for a better overall experience, I can see why some people wouldn't want it due to inability to really put that much effort into checking in prior to the 2nd half. If someone says "I wouldn't want to check twice a day or have time to do that" I'm not going to say "Yes you do, you lazy ***!". That's their own life, I have no idea what they're doing with it.
7/6/2017 3:34 PM
Again, as I mentioned earlier, I think it would offer more control, even with the current settings, and would improve the game. But it might also go massively underutilized.

As an example, I think I'm favored by 40+ tonight. It looks like I should win big. I don't trust the spread and I don't entirely trust my evaluation. So I'm starting 2 back-ups instead of 3-5. And while I wouldn't put all five in IF I were ahead by 23 at the half, I'd start at least 2-3 different ones. The "give more time to back-ups" option only seems to apply to 2nd string. I got a couple more I'd like to give minutes to when possible. How often would I do that? No idea but, if I did it 3-4 times a season, it makes the game better.

Why don't you want to improve the game, benispud?
7/6/2017 3:51 PM
Hahaha. Benispud. YUCK.

It's like asking someone if they want 5 bucks. They say yes, I'd like to have 5 bucks. Then you say, okay go run 10 miles for it. Then they say, uh no thanks you can keep the 5 bucks.

What! I thought you wanted 5 bucks!?>!?!
7/6/2017 4:02 PM
Translation - it's not a good enough trade off. Not worth it.
7/6/2017 4:05 PM
How, in this scenario, are you being forced to run 10 miles? It's an option, that will require no work from you, that won't happen.

Objecting to it because you think you'll be obligated to check twice a day(instead of 4 times during recruiting) is one thing. Objecting because you think it requires something from you is a non-starter. It requires nothing from you.

None of my games have been televised. WTF?
Really? For my Vermont team in Smith, i set up an arrangement with Cabot Creamery and Ben & Jerry's to upload my games to Youtube. There's an app that turns the pbp into computer-game video, though it's highly pixelated, like 1990's quality.

I get $30 a season from them ($20 from Cabot, $10 from Ben-Jerry), which then pays for my Crum and Naismith teams too. Many HD users do this. I emailed them last Fall, took 5 minutes for them to set it up.

For your Western Conn State team i'm not sure anyone would sponsor cuz it's not Div-1.

Just in case anyone is wondering, yes, this is a joke... but it's a good idea.

Anyway, I'm not so sure there's any disadvantage. I check in, make my adjustments and sit back. You check in, at 2:07, makes some adjustments and sit back. Neither of us know if the other dude adjusted. Or checked in unless we're blathering on in the forums.

WCSU has HUGE national following. You better get on the bandwagon before it's full.

Lol... which business in Danbury could you try to get as a sponsor? The Danbury Mint? Didn't they make the Civil War Chess Set? Union Carbide? Ethan Allen Furniture? Playtex Bras? All good choices, but i suggest you go with Playtex!

"Support your team like we support your boobs!" could be the slogan. Hell, I might try to work up a fight song with that as the chorus.

If you had more typos and made less sense then this could be written by Wardo. And it would not have been joke.

Careful, don't say his name two more times.* Just in case.
