This should never happen. The balance between the divisions in terms of talent distribution was really well done in 2.0. The best teams in DIII could definitely beat some DII teams, but certainly could never contend. Now you have some DIII teams that could crack the DI Top 25. It's absurd, and results like this show, to me at least, that even if you filled up all the divisions with human coaches, there's still a fundamental flaw in the system.

I should also add, I have another recruit that I'm after, where I have maxed out visits and promised time and can't even get above moderate against a D2 school. I've been in love with the 3.0 changes, but things are quickly changing (and this is not a recruit that I just started recruiting, I've been on him since the start of recruiting)

I think, not sure if people can contredict me, but there is a kicker somewhere that gives considering crédits... It's something you need to do asap... I am on an international, I truly spent a lot of resources, but on the late side, and I can't get past moderate. I have over 900 ap invested in him, 25 minutes, promises start, more cash that I would like...

I won't get back in the running so I can post it.

Honestly, it doesn't even seem right unless he opened up visits/promises and left no AP. I don't have D1 vs D2 experience but I've whipped D2 *** at D3 by dropping promises and a few visits.

Could be. I was hesitant to even mention it as I'm sure it's viewed as a "****-stirrer" but it just doesn't add up from where I'm sitting.

VIP is probably getting a bit of an advantage because the Iba D1 population is very low. And if you look closer, in that area of the country there aren't many D1 Low to Mid Majors to snatch up recruits so they fall down to him (and others).

Red is A prestige, Orange is B, Yellow is C, Green is D.

You got big dogs fighting each other in the south but it's not very crowded for teams rebuilding.

Battles between humans come down to the choices they’ve made. You choose how high to reach for top targets, how low to reach for backups (if you even want to bother) and how to efficiently use the resources to secure either. It’s clear in the OP that diddy could have won the recruit with no roll, had he offered promises first. Lesson learned, hopefully.

As regards the second situation, we’d need a lot more information to make an intelligent argument about what “should have” happened.

As a group, we really should be doing more of these battle analyses. It’s important for new and returning players to get a feel for how to set expectations and priorities. It’s probably the hardest and most important part of the game.

Only in that Benis chose a target that had already been heavily invested in (and a poor preference match, to boot). There’s nothing that makes 1st session effort worth more. But you can’t overcome a potential 1000+ AP differential in 3 cycles.

What if you stop putting ap one or more cycles, like you cut contact. You drop?
