I’m relatively new to 3.0 and I have found a strategy that definitely works in D2 and works pretty well for D1 (although as my best D1 team is a D+ prestige I don’t know how well my strategy will work for the big time players.) That said, I agree that there are many strategies for recruiting in 3.0. I have taken the advice from 3 big time players and modified them to make them my own. I have pulled 4* and 5* players in to my D+ schools and even have signed a 3* to my D2 school.

I’ve always found ways to be successful in this game back in the early days and with 3.0. But I’ve always taken the big risk, big reward approach. In 1.0 and 2.0 big risk was also the path for big failure. However I really enjoy 3.0 because you can fail, and still manage to sign players to avoid destroying your team’s future. The key to 3.0 is knowing the players you have no shot at and then getting as many recruits interested in you as you can. This way when you lose a guy you thought you were going to get, you have a secondary pool of players, fallback options and last resort options.
