I'd like to see more in the pbp that would give a view of some of the variables involved for any given play, from the players' attributes to the sets to the IQs to the positioning. Maybe just one or two of the significant factors on each play. Then you could determine why things were happening, and then make adjustments to game plans and team construction. Instead, you get a small sampling each game and left to wonder if you got SIM'd, outcoached or outclassed. (There's a little bit of this already, for instance being open against the press.)

"Jones outmuscles Smith, gets inside and scores" -- if you kept reading that, you could determine that you're getting beat Athletically.
"Anderson has a relatively open look due to the sag, but doesn't seem to have his legs under him and the shot comes up a little short." -- Anderson was facing a -3, but his tiredness affected the shot.

or even occasional color commentary not related to any particular play

"The youth of Florida is really showing." low IQs have had impact
"Georgia has been getting good looks, they're just not dropping" - RNG has been brutal

I have had the same experience with pulling so far inside and still was beat by a non-3 shooting team. I realized then that jumpers become easy baskets because my defenders are trying to come out to cover them. I tend to only reach for the far extremes of pushing out or pulling in massively if I am an extreme underdog trying to force a crazy variable into the games calculations. I've found as long as players have good IQ, they make the right choice when they have good athleticism and defense. But i'm relatively a noob compared to some of these other coaches.

Extreme settings +3 to +5 and -3 to -5 are gamble tools imo. If the other team has good IQ, the players will make the right choice and take the shot where it is uncontested.
