i would say that the administration in the past week is finally getting it right and even i have confidence that what needs to done will be done except for closing our borders........it is a 2 headed approach...trump is working with the fed....pence is allowing the med experts to lead and is providing daily feedback.
emphasis on testing is finally happening.
there is a lot less fear in the sunlight then in the dark.
I agree completely.

The Administration blundered (quite badly) early on and is now moving in a positive direction.

I have no doubt the NBA will have playoffs, even if the do it in July, (Maybe NHL too)

But I just listened to Gov Cuomo on 60 Minutes, and I am convinced that MLB at the earliest would be June, and maybe later. What kind of season might we be looking at ? 80-100 Games?

Considering they'll need to do "spring training" over, let's say they start playing for real after the All-Star break. How many games? I don't know. dino is probably right about double-headers being more common.

i think they could do a schedule of playing a game just about every day of each month with tons of doubleheaders and expanded rosters like adding 10 players to ameliorate fatigue issues and prevent injuries.....then even have double header playoff games.

As for now, I hope everything just gets put on hold. Baseball, other sports, and school. But at the same time, I’d rather risk getting Covid, and possibly having the lungs of a pack-a-day smoker, than take the rest of the semester online. I’d be ******* screwed then!

If I was running MLB (yeah right) and we get back by July 1; I would try to get 80-100 games in, using Dino’s ideas above, but I would have all the games in division & the corresponding division in the other league. Less travel, more players, less need for off days.

That’s a good idea I think they can do a lot more then 100 games June through September at least 35 games a month no all star break
