Are you really going to debate symantics when this country has lived under Roe v Wade as LAW for well over 40 years? Your “technical” argument is sure to be hilarious but abortion was made LEGAL by that decision and it IS today the “Law of the Land” regardless of your sheer STUPIDITY or your interpretation of what a Supreme Court decision actually “is.”

A good way to encourage people to agree with you is always to call them stupid for being right.

The courts cannot make law. They can only interpret law. Roe v. Wade didn't make abortion legal, it made certain anti-abortion laws illegal. According to Roe v. Wade itself, it's the 14th Amendment that protects first-trimester abortion rights.

And learn to spell semantics. It's hard to take the high ground and build a position to just dismiss what I say based on personal insults when you struggle to write on a 5th-grade level.

People need to stop using this ridiculous syntax. It's clearly A) wrong and B) irrelevant.

You obviously think you can tell people what to do with their bodies when other people or broader social harms are involved. IIRC, you're ok with Federal regulation of drugs like heroine and cocaine. So you can tell people what they can put into their bodies. And you clearly think it's ok to tell people what to do with their own bodies when it comes to, say, social distancing or wearing a mask. Don't pretend that you don't.

More importantly, large majorities support abortion when the mother's long-term health is at risk. So when it's actually HER body that's the problem, enough people support her right to choose that it's really not an important discussion to have. People also overwhelmingly support abortion rights in cases of rape. The rest of the time, what the woman did with HER body already happened before she ever got pregnant. Now it's not HER body that's going to experience the most dramatic change as a result of the abortion. It's the baby's body. And we already established that you - and the vast majority of Americans in both parties - personally support the right of the government to tell people what they can do with their bodies when there are negative externalities involved.

The reason why abortion should be legal during the portions of pregnancy when it is legal is because the baby is not viable. The baby is not married and doesn't have any children, and clearly has not signed a living will or POA. That means that legal next-of-kin for this person, who is effectively on life support, are the parents. And thus the parents have the legal right to choose to stop life support unless there is a clear indication that the patient is close to being able to survive without it.

Just because you write in volume doesn’t mean it’s important, correct or even coherent. Your “hot take” is equivalent to the **** I just took. Go eat a dick... Thanks.

A return to the laws of 40 years ago would be a step back for planned parenthood. If the law was returned to abortion only during the first trimester, there would be protests on the streets from the pink vagina cap liberals. Don't you remember the big celebrations? New York Dems all proud of themselves? Now you can murder a baby any old time you want. Even after the fact. That's how far left we've moved.

Also, look again. Everything I wrote is perfectly coherent to anyone who finished middle school. Admit it - you're just too damn lazy to read 3 paragraphs, which is why your belief system is entirely based on gut feelings and can't stand up to any reasoned criticism whatsoever.

If you'd read what I actually typed you'd even see that I agree with you about abortion, which should be good enough for your "gut feeling" way of approaching decisions you'd like to make for other people.
