Biological sex is not real. Gender is a construct. To believe differently is to be a bigot. I do not feel like getting into this anymore with you right now.
Nuts to that!! YOU are real. You can't claim to be spirit yet.
Your biological physique exists. That heart, those lungs, those kidneys, they are REAL!
You can't believe them away. You can't attain the purity of no "body" until this part of your life reality is over.

It isn't that there is NO Gender, No Biology any more than that there is only two sexualities.
There are (many believe) about 7 sexualities. Genders even If you prefer that term.

You can be indeterminate in belief IF you desire to be. You have that right. Nobody's complaining (well some might).
But, you can't be indeterminate in the physical. The parts have specificity. That's NOT your call.

Why would you fight it? Or encourage others to fight that determination that isn't theirs to make?
That makes for an unhealthy spirit and a confused mentality, doesn't it?
I would encourage you to educate yourself! Do you know why people have been angry with JK Rowling these past few days?
Nope. No idea. Who's JK Rowling and why should I care that people are angry with her?
Does she live in my neighborhood?
Um, what? Well, tisk tisk, clearly you need to read more works written by women writers. JK Rowling, of course, wrote Harry Potter. Unfortunately, she has revealed herself to be a transphobe over these past few days so I cannot recommend her books anymore.
I'm sure Rowlings is very upset you won't be recommending her books anymore.

If you are the editor of the New York times op-ed section, you better not let any dissenting opinions get through or we will make you resign. We will flood social media with our outrage.

If you are a star athlete that has given a ton back to your community but you dare question our dogma...we will flood your social media with outrage and threats until you apologize.

If more Black people are killed in one day in Chicago than were killed by police officers in the whole of last year. We will remain silent however.

But if you tweeted sonething back in 2012 we don't like, we are coming for you. Welcome to the new liberal world order.

Our echo chamber will not be penetrated. We are the holy warriors of social justice. If you are not with us, we will get you fired. We will slander your name on Twitter. There is only one right way to think. Want to get there? Take a sharp left and do not look back. And if you're white get on your knees and apologize this second. Silence is violence. Standing is violence. Any feelings about your heritage other than shame or disgust are violence.
lol, this sounds like the post I made yesterday in the Owens thread. Too bad neither one of us were being sarcastic.

See Cilantro?

It's called Backlash.
The political pendulum.

Push the middle of America too far and the result is a swing back the other way.
Hence the tonto and his pal dense.

Now I admit, that's just a rightist's take on the matter.
BUT, some of it is legit. There ARE folks on the left who are just WAY WAY over the line and off the beam of good common sense.
THEY (are you one of them?) make the legit causes of the left unattainable and cause so much friction with the "right" that no enlightenment can be effectively shed on the myopic views of many on the right.

In other words, the agitation of those far outside the mainstream just HURTS the legit positions of well meaning liberal Americans.
Actions like trying to twist a simple Spanglish term (tonto) meaning fool into some term carrying racist implications against Indians somewhere.
Nevermind that the ONLY Indians intimately familiar with the word find honor and pride in the term as they feel it was the white-eyes who were the fools------wanting the People to give up their own way of life. THAT is foolish. The Tonto Apache take great pride in the white-eyes mistakenly calling them tonto.

Anyone who has walked amongst them definitely KNOW they are not (collectively) a foolish people. Only fools would have ever thought so.
This is not a "rightist" take. This is a Marxist take...hence the way way over the line stuff.

If we are talking about way over the line stuff we might as well mention EVERY word of this thread's first post.

This is the 1st post of the thread.

In my continued quest (60+ years now) of seeking knowledge and enlightenment, may I inquire of our newest poster who seems so bent on telling the rest of us where we fail to "get it"..............PLEASE, exactly just what part of this initial post goes way "over the line".

I'm seriously interested in getting smarter.

I'm still waiting for guitarguy to engage in any discussion. He seems to post a long rant without sources and hide when his ideas are challenged. There were many problems with the OP.

I think a discussion would be interesting, because it seems that we share many similarities.

First, Senator Tom Cotton is a neo-fascist who proposed using military force on US citizens. In no way, shape, or form should those views be given a platform. It puts people's lives in danger. Printing his editorial was an act of violence on the part of the New York Times. I cancelled my online subscription the day after that article was published.

Drew Brees's comment was insensitive and racist. To defend Drew Brees in a world where Colin Kaepernick exists is inexcusable. In light of what is happening in our country, to refuse to kneel in protest and solidarity is an act of racism.

The issue of violence in Chicago is an issue of systemic racism. It is violence created by white policies past and present.

Fourth, I think this post is referring to an actor who was recently outed for old sexist tweets and was fired for it. Good. People in positions of power and influence should be accountable for everything public they have ever said. Sexism in 2012 is just as unacceptable as sexism in 2020. To say you are joking is not an acceptable excuse.

The rest of the post is just deranged right-wing victim complex.

I agree with everything above besides "refusing to kneel is an act of racism". Don't get me wrong, it's important to show solidarity and most who choose not to kneel do so because of racism, but it's not necessarily racist.

For instance, do you think the black man who refused to kneel in strikeout's example was committing an act of racism? He said that he supports the movement, but only kneels for God.

TY for responding. With specificity too. Again TY.
I'm short on time at this sec.

I will read (carefully) your response and respond later today. I hope.

May I ask another question.

Do you support the U.S. of America's founding documents and established principles of Law. (Such as The Bill of Rights, and the following Amendments/Changes to our Constitution)?
Our framework of Government? Is it OK by you?

I will never support documents and law founded on the principle of white supremacy. We need to start over from scratch with a new system of government that guarantees equal representation to people of color and women.
6/9/2020 3:53 PM
Hmm. Can you describe this dream system?

Specifically, what parts of the constitution still oppress POC?

This is the first time I have heard this argument.
6/9/2020 3:54 PM
This new guy is wackier than tang. I'll probably enjoy laughing at his posts a bit longer, then block him too.

He has done nothing but blame anything and everything that blacks do wrong, even to other blacks, as being whites' fault. It doesn't get any more racist (or prejudice, if you want to argue definitions) than that. Every individual is responsible for their own actions. Whites do not buy guns for those blacks killing blacks. Whites do not go searching their victims out for them, and whites certainly do not pull the trigger for them. If you're asking whites to take responsibility for their actions, which is only fair, then why not expect blacks to do the same? The goal is to have EVERYONE treat ALL lives EQUALLY, regardless of race, so doesn't that mean EVERYONE should treat ALL black lives EQUALLY?

6/9/2020 4:03 PM
lol
6/9/2020 4:19 PM
That's hard to do. Social democrats are notoriously wacky. Lmao

Wow! Just Wow.

More questions.

Are you a citizen?
A voter?

Have you studied world History any?
Do you understand the hopes of our founding Fathers as well as you do their flaws?

Please respond?
I'd like to know.
