There is almost no difference in wins for owners that took hitting first vs owners that took pitching first...

Hitting first: 13.58 wins (84 teams)
Pitching first: 13.44 wins (108 teams)

The top 144 teams move on to round 3. Through 27 games (1/6th thru the season), the 144th ranked team has a 12-15 record. But, there are 25 teams tied at 12-15 and they are ranked 132 thru 156. So it's safe to say that the cutoff for round 3 will fall somewhere between 73 and 77 wins. If I had to guess, I'd guess 75 wins + tie-breaker.

Here is a table that shows average wins per team, based on when you drafted hitting vs pitching. The last column shows the average by groups of 4. As you can see, those that picked hitting early have a very slight better average wins (13.6 vs 13.4) than those that picked hitting late (pitching early).
