I’ve been watching a relatively new show on Netflix - The Lincoln Lawyer.
I don’t think it is possible not to be entertained by this show. It is smart great plotting and really strong on character development. It has front stories and back stories all interesting and fine acting. It is real not a soap opera. so i give Two thumbs up and two big toes up.

Get on the band wagon for this show. It’s worth it.

I'll have to check that out - just started watching a new show called "The Old Man" with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow. DEFINITELY worth checking out - the acting and the plot (so far) is superb. It's great to see Jeff Bridges in a show like this...

I loved the new, 4th season of Stranger Things.

I finally warmed up to the latest season of The Boys. I thought the opening ten minutes of this season of The Boys was the most revolting thing I have ever seen on television or film, beating out even "Satyricon" by Fellini, which I walked out on in the theaters years ago. This was grosser, and I shut it off and decided it was not worth my time.

But later there was nothing I particularly wanted to see, and decided to fast-forward through the really appalling scene in episode 1 and it got better, which it really couldn't not do. I still had to fast-forward through another 2-3 scenes in the season, so it ranks as mediocre, but the last episode was good, and there was enough tension to keep one's interest.

I really, really liked both Spiderman: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. At first I thought both a bit short on substance, though the Wanda arc is interesting. But in the end the Spiderman film got me, even provoked tears in my eyes a couple of times, with its theme of redemption, forgiveness, decency.

In any case, both are a LOT of fun.

There was a movie that I saw several years ago and I don’t know the title. It is not a well known film I am sure.
It was a foreign film maybe french or polish or german.
It was a fantastically original take on the afterlife.
This was not a humorous film. It was very very stark.

It imagined a life after death where the people had minimal ability to emote or taste life.
One would have a job and it would be as drab as it was possible. A group would have a dinner together and they would listlessly and perfunctorily go over the same topics as they have before. They would eat a gourmet dinner but it would be without taste.
Sex would have no passion and have no meaning when the morning came.
The roles of society would be played and entertained but without joy.

One of them finds a way to escape and with another’s help he breaks out into an arctic wasteland and I think he gets abandoned there.

It is a rare and really interesting movie.
I might have seen it on TMC.

Has anyone seen it and knows the title?

I loved the first 2 Captain America Movies and Iron Man and the first Avengers and the first Thor but once they brought in magic characters and convoluted overly intricate plots I could not watch any more.

I liked the Toby trilogy.

I am watching Bosch on Prime Video.
It is iconic.
I consider it perfect.
It is realistic and gritty but it has lot humanity and believable relationships.
The actor playing Bosch reminds me of James Gandolfini playing Tony Soprano ( who was whacked)
in the have a million different facial expressions.

This is a very very good show with fantastic production values and directing and writing.
