Thanks Doug. This is the kind of contribution I'd hoped you might make. What a great video.

I'd encourage everyone to watch both videos.

The science laid out here is indisputable and certainly shouts very loudly that a Creator has to have been the catalyst of Life.

Seemingly we have 3 others besides myself who are self proclaimed "Bible believing Christians", although I know there are more who read, but do not themselves engage regularly.

One is full of vitriol which spews from them constantly.

One appears fairly loving and devout but is also ever fearful of engaging in anything beyond surface level discussions while "others are watching" and perhaps rightfully so.

Then the one who reveals flashes of brilliance at times, but who also seems to shy away from the discussion most of the time.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

That's an over simplification of a very huge precept mentioned often in the Bible.

Based on the end of the post from last night, which was the conclusion and realization that The Word is actually an integral part of the very nature of God, it's no wonder it holds such weight.
1 Peter 3:10/
For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech.
Colossians 4:6/
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Ephesians 4:29/
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Proverbs 15:4/
The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.
Matthew15:11
What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth that is what defiles them.
Proverbs 21:23/
Those who guard their mouths and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.
Psalms 34:13/
keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
Titus 3:1-2/
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,
to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
Proverbs 12:18&19/
The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.

We might be tempted to gloss over these verses as simply different iterations of "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all".

But it is SO much deeper than that.

Since we are created in His image.
AND a very integral part of that image is the need and ability to create something from essentially nothing.
AND if the mechanism by which this is accomplished is by the power of The Word.

Then that gives a much much greater significance to how we use our speech and what good or evil we might manifest in ourselves and in our world by using that power with reverence or with flippance.

Like laws of physics effect the believer and non-believer alike. So it is with these greater Truths and Laws.
One needn't believe in gravity for an object to fall on their head.

Proverbs 29:5 A man that flatteret his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.

Proverbs 28:23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favor than he that flatterers with the tongue.

Proverbs 12:3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaks proud things.

Proverbs 20:19 He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flatterers with his lips.

How's about Buckhorn..............used to be able to score that an an un-named unassuming little store out in Bow, Wa.............as a HS student............for 99 cents a 6 pack! Used to take HS lunch break (and a study hall or 2 or 3) and head out there for a "torch" drive.........then we'd buy a 6 pack, split it, head back to school sharing another torch on the way...........Those were the days with recessed cigarette lighters in cars..........you pushed them in and they'd heat up (get RED hot actually!) and then pop out..........anyways they were built with the element recessed so you could put your roach down on the red hot element and take about 6 to 12 nose hits depending on the size of the roach............... then we'd get back to school...........hit the little concession stand in the student lounge (which was run by the "special ed" student group) con the workers out of Hostess Cherry Pies and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...........you get get those kids real confused really quickly and get good deals...........then we'd go play ping pong in the lounge until it was time for me to go to Baseball turnout.............It's no wonder I didn't do better back then.........them curveballs could be tough on me.............

Those were the days man............sorry for the long trip down the lane and all..........
