2004 KC Royals
schwarze needs a team with some of his favorite players in his division, which doesn't bode well for my advancement.
This was one of the first Royals teams I built. I thought they'd get picked a lot earlier. Jose Bautista, Carlos Beltran, Juan Gonzalez and Mike Sweeney should provide pretty strong run scoring. And with Zack Greinke and Kevin Appier, they have a top 3 rotation. Apparently everybody that passed on this team saw the bullpen.
Since it is Academy Awards night, let me just paraphrase a line from the film that won the best director Oscar 77 years ago:
"Bullpen? We aint got no bullpen. We don't need no bullpen. I don't have to show you any stinkin' bullpen!!"
However, in truth, this team's bullpen is ideally suited for this site where multi-run leads get blown regularly in the 9th inning and beyond.
