Yes, but don't forget that WIS gave away a bunch of free seasons.  In Allen, there was a huge spike in D3 due to the free seasons, most of those players only played one season though.  We're just wrapping up the second season now, so it will be interesting to see how many "new" coaches are retained for season 3.

I think this engine killed the game and since HD is so hard to really jump in and build a good team it's too much for the average person.  That per say it's a great game and I feel it would be better if certain things were changed back to the original engine.

I like the way things are wih regard to DII and DIII. I think the engine's running fairly well, especially considering that it hasn't been tweaked much since February and May 2010 before that. DI is a different story, but that is not due to the engine.

I'm always mystified when I see posts than want long-term DIII coaches 'penalized' in some way.
As vandydave said, not all coaches want to advance to DI. I have 9 teams, five at DII and four at DIII. At most of them, I've been there 10+ years. I've never even looked at the DI schools to see which ones I could get.
Why not DI? I've always admired a RL coach who stays at the same small school their entire careers. My goal is be that kind of coach.
Agree 100%.  I've been at Oberlin in DIII Knight forever. Enjoy coaching a school in my home state and don't see myself leaving.

I know for me the thong that would bring me back in big time would be an iphone/droid app. Still don't understand why this hasn't happened yet.

I do not believe they should be spending time on "window dressing" such as this, when there are functional issues in the game that need to be looked at and have been discussed at length on these forums. To me, an app is an inefficent use of WIS' time as they work on Hoops Dynasty.

They have been tweaking this entire site for years upon years, that hs been a constant and I doubt anyone could deny it. I doubt it would be very difficult to manipulate the website into an app. If they are truly concerned about loss of interest, the best way to improve interstate is to open new avenues for usage. Let's face it, traditional websites are waning, mobile usage, beit tablet or mobile uses have increased tenfold. I think whatifsports is late to the party o. this one.

The "thong" that would bring me back in big time would be Hope Solo.

Haha. Don't get me wrong, I think there are issues that must be addressed, and Im admittedly pretty ignorant at web design/app making, don't know how involved that is, just my observation. Just trying to say that working this site on a mobile device sucks.

I will say, a bad app is actually worse than no app at all.  I play MMORPG sports game, and their iPhone app was so terrible that had I never seen the website, I wouldn't have even started.

More developer chats would be nice.  An updated hoops 101 guide would be welcomed as well.  A bunch of the 101 information is from years ago.
