Don't think Gary is coming back

The regular season has ended. I wanted to see if there was a specific strategy that is more advantageous... Is it better to focus on good drafted players or on good teammates?

So I totalled up all the plate appearances and innings pitched by drafted players and by teammates and correlated this to each team's win-loss record.

Here are the results...

Clearly, either strategy can be successful. bheid408 and ejstockman were the two owners who relied most heavily on their drafted players (60.9%) and they both won 85+ games. pmars 2001 won 96 games and had the 6th highest drafted-player%. I was tied with the lowest % at 37.3% and won 97 games, so my strategy of relying on teammates paid off. ff09 won 92 games with a 50/50 split (but his hitting/pitching split was the most pronounced).

Version 2 should be interesting, especially since we added the DH (i.e., one less scrub = one more drafted player that will be needed to use)

Interesting item for my team (which was based on my confusion of the rules)... I did not draft any teammates from my 1st pick (Gooden) or 2nd pick (Eckersley).

One other thing I wanted to do is to look at amount of salary allocated to teammates to see if that had any correlation to W-L record.
